Misty Mountain Glacier

[09 Sep 2003] This is a picture of one of the many glaciers covering Mount Rainier. Really. Well, it would be if the entire top third of the mountain hadn't been encased in mist and fog! Fog on Mount Rainier

[09 Sep 2003] The Nisqually River changed its path just a few days before we visited. This is the old channel... The Nisqually River's (now dry) old channel

Veil of Tears

[09 Sep 2003] The craggy rock behind this waterfall gives it an especially interesting appearance. Michael wants one of these in our living room; Kaylyn wouldn't mind one but would prefer it be a tad smaller. A waterfall Kaylyn and Michael in front of a waterfall

Run Noisy, Run Deep

[09 Sep 2003] We took a day trip guided tour of Mount Rainier. We don't remember the name of this river, but it has clearly been running through this channel awhile, since the rapids have cut through about two hundred feet of solid rock. Michael thinks it would be fun to tube down it; Kaylyn thinks he's crazy. A river in Mount Rainier National Park runs through a gorge
