| Here you see Michael hard at work. He uses his laptop for coding, but does just about everything else on his Tablet PC. Notice how it doesn't have a keyboard? It translates his handwriting into text! The portrait orientation and lack of a keyboard really comes in handy on the bus or plane -- even those cramped economy seats provide plenty of room for Michael to read, write, and arithmetic. |

Michael's New Home Is A Step Up
Our condo only has two bedrooms. One has our bed in it and the other is Kaylyn's studio, leaving Michael just a corner of the living room. He does everything on his laptop these days, however, so his wicker rocker, papasan foot stool, and full-spectrum lamp are all he needs. He does need someplace to store his computers, however, so he bought himself a tansu. To be precise, this is actually a step tansu; the Japanese use these for stairs in their homes.
Not only does it look cool, all those doors and drawers give access to a large amount of storage space, which Michael promptly filled with stuff -- all except one compartment which is reserved for his laptop and Tablet PC.
A big shout out to Michael's Mom for making the black tubes he uses for corralling his computer cords! |
