The Hunter New Years Letter
From trips to San Francisco, over the Cascade Mountains, and Fidalgo Island, to enjoying Seattle’s wonderful restaurants and beautiful summer days, we’ve had a busy but fun 2004.
Our Friends
Our friends John and Jacki got married this year in a lovely ceremony at the Seattle Aquarium. Kaylyn couldn’t turn down their request for her to make their invitations!
Michael continues to embark on Guy Day adventures with his friends Scott, Rob, and Rob’s son Andy. From traipsing around wildernesses to battling it out on the go-kart track, you can bet giant portions of greasy, deep-fried food are had by all!
Meanwhile Kaylyn has fun teaching Jacki how to cook, raiding hat stores with Angela, and organizing Microsoft Significant Others Stamping Parties at our condo!
Sometimes we even get everybody together at once and have group adventures. You haven’t lived until a calf has had your jeans for lunch, believe you us! |
Our Kids
Razz and Scout are almost five years old now and quite grown up, but they still have plenty of energy left for roughhousing and rambunctious stunts to keep us on our toes! (When they aren’t enjoying Mommy’s lap, that is!)
We adopted Benjamin just before Kaylyn’s birthday. We loved each other to pieces! Unfortunately, just a week after we brought him home he landed badly after a jump and sustained internal injuries. By the time we realized something was wrong they were too far gone to remedy. We will remember the week we had together for the rest of our lives.

We just adopted Lord Sebastian yesterday, so we don’t have very many pictures yet. He was a feral who had just started to become friendly, but we got along with him right away. He is quite the talker and is very forthright about telling us when it’s time to spend time with him – every minute of every day! The year is ending on a bittersweet note, but with him in our laps purring away we can’t help but be content.

All Hail Lord Sebastian!
This is Lord Sebastian, so named because he has a regal air to him, but also because he is as demanding as any Person Of Quality. We'll never know for sure whether he really is part Siamese, but he certainly talks more than any other cat we've ever known! He has two speeds: racing around the house at full speed and asleep. Well, two-and-a-half speeds, really, because his "I'm hungry feed me now!" stance is half way in between.
We have other names for Lord Sebastian, too: Oh Demanding One, His Heininess, His Lordship, and Stop Attacking My Feet I'm Trying To Sleep!

Requiem For Benjamin
Some of you know we adopted a baby boy kitty last week. Unfortunately none of you will ever get to meet him, as he died this morning. Our dedication to Benjamin is at http://www.humbugreality.com/family/benjamin/.
